देश से जम्मू-कश्मीर का विलय संपूर्ण

'देश से जम्मू-कश्मीर का विलय संपूर्ण है और राज्य को इससे दूर ले जाने की कि सी भी साजिश के खिलाफ पूरे राष्ट्र में आंदोलन होगा। जम्मू व लद्दाख के राष्ट्रभक्त लोगों के पीछे पूरा देश खड़ा है।' ये बातें भाजपा संसदीय बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष व पूर्व उप प्रधानमंत्री लाल कृष्ण आडवाणी ने वीरवार को यहां होटल अशोक में हुई भाजपा की राष्ट्रीय पदाधिकारियों की अहम बैठक में कहीं।

बैठक का शुभारंभ आडवाणी द्वारा द्वीप प्रज्ज्वलित करने व वंदे मातरम् के साथ हुआ। बैठक की अध्यक्षता राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष नितिन गडकरी ने की। मंच पर राज्यसभा में विपक्ष के नेता अरूण जेटली व लोकसभा में विपक्ष की नेता सुषमा स्वराज भी मौजूद थीं।

पदाधिकारियों को संबोधित करते हुए आडवाणी ने कहा कि देश में भ्रष्टाचार व जम्मू-कश्मीर भाजपा का मुख्य फोकस रहेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि कश्मीर देश का अभिन्न अंग है और भाजपा इसे देश से अलग करने के किसी प्रयास को कामयाब नहीं होने देगी।

इस बीच गडकरी, जेटली, सुषमा स्वराज के साथ पार्टी के अन्य नेताओं ने भी जम्मू-कश्मीर में राष्ट्रीयता के लिए खतरा बन रही सरकार की कश्मीर केंद्रित नीतियों का डटकर मुकाबला करने पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि जम्मू-कश्मीर में देश विरोधी मजबूत न हों, इसके लिए भाजपा प्रयास जारी रखेगी। इस दौरान अलगाववादियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई करने के बजाए उन्हें हिरासत के नाम पर चश्माशाही में हटों में मेहमान बनाकर रखने का मुद्दा भी उठा।

बैठक में राज्य के मौजूदा हालात पर राजनीतिक प्रस्ताव पारित कर पाकिस्तान की शह पर हिंसा फैला रहे अलगाववादियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई करने व जम्मू व लद्दाख से भेदभाव को समाप्त करने पर जोर दिया गया। लगभग साढे़ आठ घंटे चली यह बैठक रात नौ बजे संपन्न हुई।

बैठक में भाग लेने वाले प्रमुख नेताओं में उतराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री रमेश पुखरियाल, बिहार के उपमुख्यमंत्री सुशील मोदी, राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता रवि शंकर प्रसाद, शाहनवाज हुसैन, विनय कटियार, प्रताप रूढ़ी, अनंत कुमार, कलराज मिश्र, किरण महेश्वरी, अनुराग ठाकुर, जेपी नड्डा, निर्मल सीतारमण, प्रकाश जावडेकर समेत भाजपा के कई राष्ट्रीय पदाधिकारी मौजूद थे।

बैठक में भाजपा की जम्मू-कश्मीर इकाई का प्रतिनिधित्व प्रदेश अध्यक्ष शमशेर सिंह मन्हास व भाजपा विधायक दल के नेता प्रो. चमन लाल गुप्ता ने किया।

जम्मू-कश्मीर राष्ट्र का अभिन्न अंग: सुषमा

जम्मू, जागरण ब्यूरो : जम्मू में भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेताओं की मौजूदगी के चलते बयानबाजी भी हुई। लोकसभा में विपक्ष की नेता सुषमा स्वराज ने जम्मू कश्मीर को राष्ट्र का अभिन्न करार देते हुए कहा कि विलय को लेकर कोई प्रश्न ही नहीं उठता है।

वहीं, राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता प्रकाश जावेडकर ने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार घोटालों की सरकार है। हर कोई आम आदमी को लूट रहा है। भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष विनय कटियार ने समाजवादी पार्टी के आजम खान के खिलाफ देशद्रोह का मामला दर्ज करने पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि पार्टी वोट बैंक की राजनीति के लिए जम्मू कश्मीर के विलय को निशाना बना रही है। वहीं, भाजपा के शहनवाज हुसैन ने भी आजम खान के बयान पर कड़ी आपत्तिजताई।

माता की भेंटे सुन मिटाई थकान

जम्मू : साढे़ आठ घंटे की लंबी बैठक के बाद भाजपा के शीर्ष नेताओं ने होटल में गुलाम हुसैन एंड पार्टी की माता वैष्णो देवी की भेंट सुनकर दिन भर की थकान मिटाई। रात के खाने के लिए डोगरा व्यंजनों की विशेष व्यवस्था की गई थी।

मुख्यमंत्री लेट तो जल्द पहुंचे उपमुख्यमंत्री

उत्ताराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री रमेश पोखरियाल दोपहर के खाने की ब्रेक के बाद चार बजे के करीब अपने स्पेशल प्लेन से जम्मू पहुंचे। वहीं, बिहार के उपमुख्यमंत्री सुशील कुमार मोदी सुबह साढ़े चार बजे ही रेलगाड़ी में जम्मू पहुंच गए थे।

जल्दी लौटे नेता

- भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता प्रकाश जावडेकर, किरण महेश्वरी, थाबर गहलोत, वानी त्रिपाठी, श्याम जाजू राष्ट्रीय पदाधिकारियों की बैठक पूरी किए बिना ही लौट गए। उनके साथ भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता भी महारैली के लिए जम्मू में नहीं रुके।

JPPF warns agitation against appointment of Amitabh Matoo

Jammu, December 23 (Scoop News) –Jammu Province People’s Forum (JPPF) has warned the authorities of a strong agitation in Jammu against the appointment of Amitabh Matoo as first Vice Chancellor of Central University Jammu.



Addressing a Press Conference in Jammu today Inderjeet Khajuria Senior leader of the forum said that we deeply hurt over and strongly opposed the appointment of Amitabh Mattoo as first Vice Chancellor of Central University Jammu. This appointment has been made in total disregard of the overwhelming sentiments of all sections of people of Jammu, who have been opposing the appointment of a person known for his anti- Jammu region stance, Kashmir Centric and separatists and militant’s friendly attitude.

He said that the agitation under the umbrella of JPPF along with various organizations of students and scholars of University was launched to press the demand for a local person as first Vice Chancellor of Jammu University.

Inderjeet Khajuria said the agitation was suspended on the firm assurance given to us by various authorities including the cabinet ministers, MPs from Jammu and others that only a local scholar will be appointed as first Vice Chancellor of Central University Jammu. But all these assurances have been violated. He informed that a meeting of various pro-Jammu organizations, including trade bodies, student organizations and those of scholars has been called on Saturday 25th December, at JPPf office to chalk out the next line of action against this unwanted step of the government.



It may be mentioned that in the past few months all Jammu based political parties, social, cultural and trade organizations of the region as well as organizations of students and scholars have expressed themselves against the move to appoint Mattoo as Vice Chancellor of Central University Jammu. The strong plea and demand made by all these sections of Jammu people to appoint a local academician of high caliber has been blatantly ignored by the Central government. We read in it a conspiracy to deliberately hurt the sentiments of Jammu people as well as to provoke agitation against this action of the government to pave way for sabotaging the smooth functioning of Central University in Jammu.

Amitabh Mattoo new VC of Jammu Central University

President Pratibha Patil in her capacity as Visitor of all central universities on Monday approved the appointment of Amitabh Mattoo as the first Vice Chancellor of the Central University at Jammu. On the other hand Sudhir Kumar Sopory, a senior scientist in molecular biology at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, is all set to take over as Vice Chancellor of the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Professor Mattoo's name had been pending for the Visitor's final approval for the past six months as there was opposition to his appointment from some quarters in Jammu. Amitabh Mattoo is currently professor of Disarmament studies at the Centre for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament (CIPOD), School of International Studies at the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

A Padma Shri winner, Prof. Mattoo's teaching and research interests include issues of international security, India's foreign policy, and arms control and disarmament. Mattoo has been a visiting professor at the Centre for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University, at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace Studies, the University of Notre Dame, and at the Program on Arms Control, Disarmament and International Security at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and at the Maison des Sciences de'Lomme at Paris. He has published ten books (on nuclear issues, foreign policy and international relations), and more than fifty research articles (including in leading journals like Survival and Asian Survey).

Prof. Mattoo was the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu from November 2002 until December 2008. He was the youngest person to serve in that position. He concurrently served as a member of the National Knowledge Commission, a high-level advisory group to the Prime Minister of India.

A member of the governing council of the Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, the Nobel Prize winning non-governmental organisation which campaigns for global disarmament, Prof. Mattoo has been a member of India's National Security Council's Advisory Board and was also a member of the task force constituted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Global Strategic Developments. The Task Force examined various aspects of global trends in strategic affairs and their implications for India.

Sudhir Kumar Sopory, who had taught at the JNU some years ago, competed with Prof. Mattoo, Deepak Nayyar, former VC of the Delhi University who now teaches economics at the JNU, and R. Ramaswamy from the Department of Physical Sciences also at the JNU, for the top post at the prestigious university.

Centre announces 8-point initiative for Kashmir

Announcing a eight-point Kashmir formula, the Centre on Saturday said a Group of Interlocutors led by an eminent persons will hold "sustained dialogue" with all sections of Jammu and Kashmir and also review deployment of security forces in the Valley, especially in Srinagar.

Unveiling a package of measures approved by the Cabinet Committee of Security(CCS) at its meeting here in a bid to deal with the civil unrest in the Kashmir Valley, Home Minister P Chidambaram said the state Government will be advised to review the notification of areas as "Disturbed Areas". The unrest has claimed the lives of 105 persons since June 10.

The 30-minute CCS meeting was presided by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Chidambaram did not elaborate whether the review of the Disturbed Areas notification was a prelude to any phased withdrawal of the contentious Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from certain areas of the Valley.

J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah welcomed the Centre's initiative saying it is a positive development and must lead to a resolution to all political issues of Jammu and Kashmir.

The CCS decisions were taken after it reviewed the situation in the Valley and considered the report of the recent visit of the 36-member all-party delegation to J and K submitted by Chidambaram, who had led the team.

In a bid to reach out to the masses, the Centre also advised the J&K government to release students and youth who have been arrested or detained for stone pelting and similar violations of law during the Valley unrest, and withdraw all charges against them.

The state governmetn has also been advised to review cases of all Public Safety Act(PSA) detenues and withdraw detention orders in appropriate cases.

"Government will appoint a Group of Interlocutors under the Chairmanship of an eminent person to begin the process of sustained dialogue with political parties, groups, students, civil society," Chidambaram said.

However, he did not say the exact composition of the group and skirted the question and said "it can be either one plus two or one plus three...we will see."

The CCS decided to advice the state government to immediately convene a meeting of the Unified Command and review the deployment of the security forces in Kashmir valley, especially at Srinagar, with particular reference to descale bunkers and check points in the summer capital and other towns, the Home Minister said.

We all Indians knows that Central Government is paying attention towards Kashmir regions and bestowing their heads against separatists and our central political leader going to meet these separatists in their residence for making happy them. We the people of India knows that these Separatists are eating our Central Funds from lasts 63 years and still they have faith in Pakistan but over foolish Central Government are still trying their best to make them happy by ignoring the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions. Bias always happens to the people of Jammu and Ladakh Regions. So Shame on our Government.
